    Motorcycles & Scooters

I'm currently researching the idea of purchasing a scooter. Then my manhood came in to question, so now I am looking into a motorcycle as well. Taking the DMV test soon to add a M1 to my Class C license.

I don't live that far from work so it would be ideal for me.

At the local motorcycle dealers, they are all sold out of scooters and people are back ordering them. In the next few months, you'll see alot more scooters and motorcycles driving on the roads.

It's time to shelve my Yukon for a while!

I just heard on the radio on the way to work today that a college student opened up a scooter store and was doing great... the scooter business is UP 25% since last year they said... and some scooters get more than 100 MPG!

Your manhood should be questioned if you bought the scooter. ;-) If you're a first time rider, I would recommend a 600cc bike. Any of the Japanese bike are good. Personally I like the Suzuki's. Make sure you check out Motorcycle Safety Foundation. They have a great beginners class.

    Good luck...

get the scooter, unless you are trying to compensate for something.

For a little more money I can get the bigger bike and still get great gas mileage.

Helmets decrease gas mileage too much.

Do they come with Air Bags? that would save your manhood.

Motocyles are for Men,  Scooters are for Girls

Well I'm a girl and I ride a crotch rocket....so now who are scooters for? Unless you live in the city and are a super cool retro chic dude who wants to rock a Vespa, I'd go with a crotch rocket. I have a Ninja right now, but I'm about to buy a "naked" Honda CB600, it's like the CBRs except it doesn't have as much plastic on it, and the insurance it waaaay cheaper. Happy riding :)

My personal thought - You can't go wrong, but I really enjoy my motorcycle, and I can't imagine a scooter giving me the same enjoyment.
That being said, this looked like a great forum to share an article about this...
Teaser: Now is an excellent time for those who can upgrade to do so and put your “old” bike on the market because what began as a response to rising gas prices has evolved into motorcycle fever...

Read more about it in Adam Little's <a href="http://www.articlesbase.com/automotive-articles/motorcycle-sales-scoot-along-thanks-to-new-waves-of-riders-901822.html">article</a> written for <a href="http://www.amsvehiclesales.com/8663260949.htm">Auto Marketing Systems - 866-326-0949</a>. Then come back and comment! Thanks!
