I've never seen in live but I'm very excited by the idea and hope it makes it to production.

Volt is all-electric drive, but it has gasoline generator to recharge the battery for the times when battery charge goes down. This makes it a "series hybrid".

Do you think Volt (and other series hybrids) is an Electric Car or just a Plug-in Hybrid.

FINALLY, ELECTRIC VEHICLES WITHOUT COMPROMISE

You’ve told us that you want clean, economical fuel solutions and we’ve been listening. ENVI — a special team within Chrysler — was formed specifically to bring you the next generation of alternative drivetrains as early as 2010 for North America. Soon after European markets will also benefit from this innovative solution.

ENVI has been hard at work developing technology that will deliver fuel-less Electric Vehicles and extremely fuel-efficient Range-extended Electric Vehicles. And they’re bringing it to you in a full-range of vehicle options from Chrysler, Jeep® and Dodge. That means you’ll have the ability to drive the way you drive today, in your choice of a front-wheel-drive, rear-wheel-drive, or body-on-frame four-wheel-drive vehicle, while going easy on the environment and your wallet.

Check out our blog for videos, photos and the latest on ENVI and more about this exciting technology.

Are increased CO2 levels causing global warming, or is global warming causing increased CO2 levels? Which is greener, hybrid or diesel power?

Welcome to KBB Green Forums, created to take advantage of the simple truth that the more questions we ask, the more answers we get. Kelley Blue Book has been helping car buyers make informed purchase decisions for more than 80 years, and now you get to play a more direct role in that mission than ever. With gas prices and environmental consciousness at all-time highs, and vehicle propulsion technologies in an unprecedented state of flux, the decision to launch our first forums in conjunction with our all-new KBB Green section was an easy one.

So go ahead and dive right in. Ask a question, contribute an answer or just start a conversation. Wherever we decide to go, we'll get there more quickly together.
