I've often wondered if allowing hybrids into the HOV lane is more a reward for those early green-goers who've chosen hybrids (oem vw parts online) based on their own personal calculus, or is it more of an encouragement for those hybrid teeterers looking for a little more in-it-for-me. It's good highway management, especially on roads where the HOV lanes go under-utilized. Either way, it's great policy (if only until the HOV lanes get clogged with 1-passenger hybrids).

Both. Hybrid cars is a great incentive and a reward. Take note that the quickest way to decrease traffic congestion and resulting air pollution is to reduce the number of cars on the road, isn't it? So why not let people realized that hybrids plays a great role on decreasing emissions.

I thougt before some one steal my car bumber, i should sell it and make some money.

Re: Hybrids in the HOV Lane -- Incentive or Reward?

Some research shows that there is a markup of up to $4k on used Prius with HOV stickers. That's high demand right there.

But if the stickers were still available demand on new hybrids that can get a sticker would also be higher.
