“We
are looking for a vehicle that operates from a fuel source that
reduces—or eliminates—our dependence on petroleum products, that is
good for the environment, good for our customers and good for the
Postal Service,” said Walter O’Tormey, vice president, Engineering, as
he accepted the keys to the Equinox Fuel Cell that will be tested in
Irvine, CA.

I think role of companies with large fleets and fairly limited driving ranges is key in polishing new tech before mass adoption. Way to go USPS!

I wonder where exactly in Irvine this is.

And you don't need big batteries. All you need is a big tank full of hydrogen, currently available in literally dozens of locations across the country.

Will hydrogen fuel cell vehicles prove the ultimate answer?

A FCX Clarity zero emission hydrogen powered fuel cell sedan. The FCX is the first hydrogen fuel cell car that has been certified for
daily use by both the Environmental Protection Agency and California
Air Resources Board. One more thing is that it tore into corners eagerly and without any noticeable body lean. Great speed, power steering pump and great powertrain system.

I want FCX

Can someone hook me up with Honda to lease their FCX?

Welcome to KBB Green Forums

Are you looking to save the Earth, or just hoping to save a few bucks? Are increased CO2 levels causing global warming, or is global warming causing increased CO2 levels? Which is greener, hybrid or diesel power?

Welcome to KBB Green Forums, created to take advantage of the simple truth that the more questions we ask, the more answers we get. Kelley Blue Book has been helping car buyers make informed purchase decisions for more than 80 years, and now you get to play a more direct role in that mission than ever. With gas prices and environmental consciousness at all-time highs, and vehicle propulsion technologies in an unprecedented state of flux, the decision to launch our first forums in conjunction with our all-new KBB Green section was an easy one.

So go ahead and dive right in. Ask a question, contribute an answer or just start a conversation. Wherever we decide to go, we'll get there more quickly together.
