I thought the point of a Hybrid/Electric car is to get good to great gas mileage. 26 mpg is not good. I like the volt, but the mileage better be in the 60mpg range considering Lutz said that is it going to cost 40 large. The 09 Prius is expected to get 60mpg for $25 grand.

Some Math: Malibu Hybrid $23,000 - 24/32mpg (28mpg used for calc) Malibu Gas Engine $20,000 - 22/30mpg (26mpg used for calc) If I drive 15,000 Miles Per Year with gas at $4 per gallon (cheap these days).
